Every time I try to make a commitment to blog more I just get more and more busy. But for someone like me who is constantly curious as to how things work that is never a bad thing. So just what have I been up to lately that has kept me from delivering some new slides for download?
Well, the answer is that I have been travelling like crazy for work and also teaching myself how to develop against the Office Graph API. That’s right I’m currently teaching myself how to be a hard core developer. As our branding world changes with the fast pace of the Office 365 suite, it is time to expand our skill sets beyond the pretty pictures and CSS/Master Pages of our comfort zones. I have chosen the Office Graph API as my first step into this new world of discovery.
Sometimes I find myself singing along like I’m in a Disney fairy tale …. and waiting on Aladdin to come out of hiding and loan me his Genie. After all this is what the Office Dev Team has tempted me with:
“ I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we’re only dreaming
A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I’m way up here
It’s crystal clear
That now I’m in a whole new world with you
Now I’m in a whole new world with you”
As I call out for the Genie I will try to give you some more insight into my journey into this “Whole New World” and you can travel to wondrous places with me.
But first a little housekeeping. I owe many of you a couple presentations to download from many of the SPS events you have been attending. So here are those presentations:
So enjoy those presentations, I hope they help. I’m working on new content for a few events that are coming up in the future and you will see a blog post on that over the weekend. (I promise this time. I’m spending the weekend in a hotel in California…what else is there to do? )
